MERAUKE, August 14, 2026 – Inggyash Ghuzi Cooperative has officially become the holder of a Rights to Cultivate (HGU) certificate based on HGU transfer decree issued by the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) of the Republic of Indonesia dated September 2, 2025.
The cooperative’s HGU covers approximately 20% of the concession area previously held by PT Papua Agro Lestari (PAL) and is designated for community plasma development in accordance with Indonesian law. The HGU transfer was carried out with respect for the community’s right to Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC). The community deliberated on the transfer through a process facilitated by an independent party, AZ Law Office Conflict Resolution Center, and decided to provide its consent before the transfer proceeded.
Following the issuance of the official decree (SK) and HGU certificate, Inggyash Ghuzi Cooperative will proceed with the development and independent management of the plasma plantation together with its appointed implementation partner, PT Bina Papua Luhurkarya.
Separately, PT Papua Agro Lestari will continue its commitment to supporting sustainable community development through its Corporate Social Contributions (CSC) programs. This commitment is part of the company’s philosophy of building harmonious, beneficial, and sustainable relationships with communities and stakeholders for mutual progress and prosperity.
