An article from Nusantara Atlas reported that Yayasan Pusaka and the local community investigated allegations of deforestation by PT Dongin Prabhawa in 2024 for the development of an oil palm plantation under the plasma scheme.
Following internal monitoring, the ESG team confirmed that the area in question has been under the ownership of the ISKA BEKAI Cooperative since 2023. Consequently, any activities within this area are not associated with PT Dongin Prabhawa. The following chronology outlines the key events related to the plantation:
- The Regent of Merauke issued Letter 602.2/7805 on November 17, 2022, appointing PT Tritama Lestari as a facilitator for the ISKA Bekai Cooperative to accelerate the development of plasma plantations within the PT Dongin Prabhawa concession.
- A stakeholder meeting was held on March 14, 2023 to discuss the independent development of the ISKA Bekai Cooperative’s community plantation. The Regent of Merauke, local government officials, religious leaders, the Chairman of the DPRD, indigenous community representatives from Ngguti District, and ISKA BEKAI Cooperative members attended the meeting.
- The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning issued Letter B/HR.01.03/1806/VI/2023 on June 26, 2023, granting PT Dongin Prabhawa approval for the transfer of its HGU (Right to Cultivate).
- A formal handover ceremony took place on July 17, 2023 for the HGU Transfer Decree, officially transferring 5,657 hectares of community plantation land from PT Dongin Prabhawa to KSU ISKA BEKAI. The event was attended by the Regent of Merauke.
With these procedural steps completed, PT Dongin Prabhawa and TSE Group confirm that the separation process has been fully finalized. Public statements regarding this process were issued in both 2023 and 2025.
Based on internal verification and identification, the area is part of the ISKA BEKAI Cooperative’s independently managed plantation development.
