BOVEN DIGOEL – Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group proudly joined the celebrations of Indonesia’s Independence Day anniversary from the country’s easternmost region in Asiki Subvillage, Jair District, South Papua, on Sunday (8/17).
The day began with a flag-raising ceremony and a vibrant cultural carnival showcasing traditional attire from across the archipelago. Going with the theme “Nusantara”, this parade symbolized the national motto of unity in diversity while displaying Indonesia’s rich cultural tapestry.
The atmosphere turned livelier with a series of “classic” Independence Day games: cracker-eating contest, sack race, balloon dance, and sarong relay, drawing participation from local villagers and TSE Group employees.
This landmark 80th anniversary marks a key moment for TSE Group to underscore its role as an integral part of the South Papuan community. Through this historic occasion, the company reaffirms its commitment to contributing to regional development, strengthening community bonds, and promoting better community prosperity.
