BOVEN DIGOEL – Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group returned to Papuan schools this semester with a Social Education program titled “Back to School”. Joining were 305 students from Satu Atap Camp 19 Public Junior High (SMPN Satu Atap Camp 19) and 97 students from Boven Digoel Public Vocational High (SMKN 4 Boven Digoel) at Satu Atap Camp 19’s aula in Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency.
The program was divided into two sessions on different days: Saturday (2/11) for Satu Atap Camp 19 students, and Friday (2/24) for Boven Digoel Public Vocational High students. Both groups showed great excitement as they moved from lesson to lesson and took part in a game.
To keep them fired up in the pursuit of their dreams, the company selected teaching materials that would motivate the students. “I invite you all to start loving your school, the lessons, and the activity of reading itself. With this much love and interest, you can be more diligent and smarter on your own,” said TSE Group’s PR General Manager Park Jibae in his opening speech.
In addition to these were lessons on smoking dangers and law basics, which were expected to prevent the kids from breaking the law.
Boven Digoel Public Vocational High’s principal Bambang Sulistiyono made known his appreciation for the program, which “has helped students in these faraway regions increase their knowledge and study motivation”.

“We greatly appreciate what TSE Group is doing in educating the children in Papua’s most remote areas. We hope our kids, male or female, can gain something from this event,” Sulistiyono said.
The company also organized a brain game and didn’t forget to prepare prizes to make this special class more enjoyable. In this simple but educative activity, the kids’ general knowledge was put to the test, where TSE employees read several statements and students had to guess if they were true or false. A few in the audience came out as winners.
This “Back To School” program is part of TSE Group’s Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program activities, which aims to develop the social environment of nearby communities, especially in the field of education. [PR]
