BOVEN DIGOEL, FEBRUARY 8, 2022 – PT Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE), a part of TSE Group, began the year 2022 by conducting routine monthly communication event with the community in the remote area of Papua, in Getentiri Village, Jair District, Boven Digoel, Papua, on Saturday (5/2). This activity aims to build communication between the community and the company.
The monthly communication activity was filled with information delivery from TSE to motivate the community of Getentiri Village in developing economic center by showing a video about plant cultivation. TSE also provided health education by bringing dr. Inggrid from TSE clinic.
In her counseling, Doctor Inggrid emphasized the importance of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in everyday life. “Don’t forget that it is important for all of us, especially young children, to always wash hands. This must be done before and after eating,” she said.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of Public Relations at TSE Group, Park Ji Bae hoped that the monthly communication can give more insight to the community of Getentiri Village. “Hopefully this activity can open the mind of the community about many ways that can be done to increase income,” he said
The community was very enthusiastic with the routine activities from TSE. Ketabang Satu Clan Chief, Sesilius Barue, appreciated the monthly communication activities held by the company. “On behalf of the members of my clan, I thank TSE for always providing attention to the welfare of people in the remote areas of Papua, especially the residents of Getentiri,” he expressed.
At the end of the event, the monthly communication event was filled with cooking demonstration, exchange of culture and cuisine recipes, namely Javanese opor ayam and sagu sep, a signature dish of Papua. The event ended with a joint meal.
During its operation in Papua since 1998, TSE Group often provides social contribution to the community and the environment, including organizing a monthly communication event.
