BOVEN DIGOEL – Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group rolled out basic computer training for indigenous Papuans in partnership with Boven Digoel Agribusiness and Agrotechnology Vocational High 4 (SMKN 4 Agribisnis dan Agroteknologi Boven Digoel) to support community empowerment in the Boven Digoel area in South Papua.
Participants were introduced to Microsoft Office, including core apps Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The training curriculum was designed to provide comprehensive, practical knowledge of software essential to daily office operations.
Held from September 22 to November 28, the course was joined by 15 working-age residents. The company hopes to help them boost their office competencies and competitive edge as they enter the workforce.
At the training’s closing ceremony on Friday (11/28), TSE Group and school representatives handed out certificates confirming participation and completion of the material.
One of the students, Salomina Ateka, was grateful and said she felt the benefits.
“I would like to thank TSE Group and Boven Digoel Agribusiness and Agrotechnology Vocational High 3 for having organized this event. How to type in Word, create tables in Excel, and present in PowerPoint… these basic skills are very much valuable for my CV,” Ateka said enthusiastically.
