BOVEN DIGOEL, 2 August 2022 – Recently, Tunas Sawa Erma Group (TSE Group) went on a visit to Tanah Merah in Boven Digoel Regency, Papua, to meet the regional Family Empowerment and Welfare (FEW, locally known as PKK) members. The visit was made in an effort to increase collaboration with the local government, especially on Papuan women empowerment.

This was also a return courtesy call to Boven Digoel’s First Lady, who had dropped by with her team at TSE Group’s Asiki office on July 20. The event was opened by a speech from Mr. Park Jibae, as TSE Group PR General Manager.

In this courtesy visit, the company also took time to explain action plans for their CSC (Corporate Social Contribution) program, which consists of five pillars. One of them, the pillar of education, has been realized through scholarship and honorarium assistance, school renovation projects, and training for clan chiefs’ children.

Pleasant atmosphere in the event

“We thank the company for taking part in empowering our community,” said the Head of Boven Digoel’s FEW branch, Maria Kambandum.

To end the event, company representatives presented the members with sago products as a souvenir. These products are made by Subur Village’s farmer group, one of TSE Group’s training and assistance recipients.
