BOVEN DIGOEL – South Papua-based oil palm plantation and management company Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group participated at “Temu Warga Merah Putih” to support the cross-sectoral event organized by the Food Self-sufficiency Operations Commander and the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea Border Security Task Force.

It’s an activity aimed at building a safe and peaceful border environment.

“Over the years, we have established rapport with our stakeholders in South Papua, not excluding local communities. We’re doing this to promote better social welfare in the places where we operate,” said TSE Group’s General Manager Daniel Sim Ayomi.

Packages containing rice, cooking oil, coffee, and solar-powered lamps were distributed to attending villagers in assistance of programs run by the local government, military, police, and civil institutions.

Not only do these staple packages help fulfil daily needs, they’re a great way to strengthen the bond between the company, community, and law enforcement in border areas.

Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Eko Siswanto appreciated the Naga Subvillage for its hospitality and solid teamwork with the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea Border Security Task Force and TSE Group.

“Our partnership is crucial for maintaining community sovereignty and encouraging better welfare of the local society. We will remain committed to working together to build Naga and the entire South Papua.”

Economic growth and improvements in well-being happen when corporate sustainability efforts go hand in hand with community empowerment.  It is our promise that continuous contributions are made to sustainable development in South Papua through programs that enhance community quality of life, promote environmental preservation, and drive local economies.
