BOVEN DIGOEL – Within the thick jungles of Inner Papua, a story lies hidden. It’s a story of quiet dedication, one involving the TSE Group Clinic team and its health outreach program.
This particular tale took place in Boven Digoel’s Jair District, where local communities remain underserved by most healthcare providers. But on Tuesday (9/20), people of all ages were able to enjoy free check-ups and treatment at the TSE Group Clinic — thanks to the company’s Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program.
“We hope these programs continue. The [nearest] puskesmas (state-run health center) is too far for us to access,” said Mariche Renggam, who brought her fever-ridden son for medication. “Thank you, TSE Group doctors and nurses.”
The Clinic team provided blood pressure checks, medical consultations, and tailored treatment plans, in addition to basic health screenings. Malaria, upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), and skin disease were among the most common conditions observed that day.

“[Doing this] is our calling. [When] we see the smile and hope on our patients’ faces, we feel strengthened,” said senior nurse Markus Moat.
Having worked for over 20 years at the TSE Group Clinic, Moat added, “[Navigating] local terrain and communicating [with villagers] are [always] the most challenging, but they’re worth the joy of relieving someone’s pain.”
