BOVEN DIGOEL– A short while ago, PT Tunas Sawa Erma (PT TSE) officially opened the new building for Bog Dagon Mandiri (BDM) Cooperative in Naga Village, Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency, Papua. Together, company representatives and the cooperative board performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
A donation from the company, the building shows PT TSE’s concerns towards Papua’s social environment development. It comes with on-site facilities like chairs, boards, 1 water tank, 1 unit of freezer, and 10 units of cool boxes that support BDM’s ice cube production.
Participating in the event were the board of directors, PT TSE management, subdistrict military command members, and police members. “With this building, we hope to help locals, especially the co-op, to grow their business. Once these businesses get bigger, they can market the products on a larger scale,” said Jhon Nanlohy, a company representative.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, cooperative president Alowesius Gembenop expressed his appreciation for PT TSE’s constant attention to the economic development of Papua’s inland communities.
