Handover of food aid by TSE Group to the community around the company area in Boven Digoel and Merauke, Papua, on Wednesday (21/12)
BOVEN DIGOEL, January 03, 2022 – Ahead of new year, Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group distributed parcels to the community in Papua on Tuesday (21/12). This activity is a part of TSE Group’s efforts to share happiness with people around the company area.
The aid distribution for Christmas and New Year (Nataru) was carried out in six districts in Merauke and Boven Digoel, Papua. These two areas are areas of TSE Group’s operational business units, namely PT TSE, PT Dongin Prabhawa (DP) and PT Berkat Cipta Abadi (BCA).
The parcels were distributed to various groups of society. Starting from customary rights owners, orphans, indigenous people, the elderly, to the committees at 14 churches located in the area of TSE Group.
The aid, which contained food supplies, was directly handed over to 467 families spread across 15 locations. In detail, the aid package consisted of 8.814 kilogram (kg) of rice, 427 boxes of instant noodles, 820 liters of cooking oil, 460 boxes of tea, 211 packages of coffee, and 551 kg of granulated sugar.
The event started with a symbolic handover of the aid packages by the Manager of Public Relations of TSE Group Sutisna to the representative of the community, Wilem Tutainon, in the Asiki Village, Boven Digoel. Afterward, the TSE Group team went on to visit other villages, starting from Miri Village to Naga Village.
Sutisna hoped that the aid provided could be beneficial for the community, especially in welcoming the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Year celebrations. “I would also like to wish you a merry Christmas for those who are celebrating and happy new year for all of us,” he said.
Gratitude was also conveyed by the beneficiary residents, including one of the customary leaders in Tanah Merah, Donatus Amote. According to him, the aid from TSE Group is proof that the company always thinks about the community.
Meanwhile, the Head of Miri Village Aloisius Amkai expressed his deep appreciation to the company for providing attention to the residents. “The company always pays attention by providing assistance on every holiday in Miri Village and other villages,” he said.
The Christmas and New Year aid provision is a regular activity carried out by TSE Group. The program is part of Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) programs to strengthen relations between the community and the company. (PPA Humas S&C)
