BOVEN DIGOEL, 2 August 2022 – PT Tunas Sawa Erma (PT TSE) inaugurated their on-site day care, located in the company operational area, Boven Digoel Regency, Papua, at the end of July 2022.
Building a day care is a part of company’s commitment to adhere to ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil)’s principle and criteria, which is to create a safe and comfortable workplace for employees. With the facility, PT TSE aims to relieve workers’ anxiety over leaving their kids while they work throughout the day.
The day care was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, performed by PT TSE General Affairs Division’s General Manager Rudi Hermawan and Deputy General Manager Mr Sungtek Bae.
“This facility is provided for our employees with younger children, so that the kids will be safe and these employees can work comfortably,” said Rudi.

The day care comes with various features, such as a bedroom, water dispenser, stove, and other amenities to fulfill these youngsters’ needs. Employees can drop by during work hours to leave their kids, and not feel any worries.
“We feel grateful. This facility will really help us do our job without having to worry about what our child is doing, unlike when we leave them at home,” said Elizabeth, an employee of TSE’s oil palm processing plant.
