TSE management handed Ignasius Mikan the key to the new house in a symbolic ceremony
Boven Digoel – Tunas Sawa Erma (PT TSE) provided Mikan clan chief Ignasius Mikan with a new house unit in his dwelling in Kukurantap Village, Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency on Friday (4/11).
Mr. Seo Min Woo from PT TSE’s management presented Mikan with a dummy house key to symbolize the handover. Home building is one of the ways in which Tunas Sawa Erma shows concern for Papua's social environment, and a part of the company's Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program that tackles public infrastructure issues. It proves PT TSE's commitment to do its part for the society, most notably customary land right owners near the company.
Covered in blue walls, the 48 m2 structure consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a well-ventilated bathroom that ensures proper sanitation.
“We hope this house will be maintained well,” said Marten Pare, PT Tunas Sawa Erma's General Manager in his opening speech.
An artificial pond and 175 juvenile catfish also came with the building, giving the beneficiary an opportunity to open a fish farm and gain financial independence.
Ignasius Mikan said that each and every help from the company was meaningful, especially for the long term. He thanked Tunas Sawa Erma, hoping the company would continue to support him. “I give my utmost gratitude for the house. We can truly see its benefits.”
