BOVEN DIGOEL – Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group collaborated with the Boven Digoel Family Welfare and Empowerment mobilizer team on distributing nutrition-rich meals to elementary students. It’s part of a work that supports the development of a healthier, smarter generation.
The schoolgoers were also taught about balanced diet, which highlights the role of Family Welfare and Empowerment cadres in improving community quality of life across multiple aspects, including health and education.
At the event Tuesday (6/3), students at Naga Public Elementary School (SD Negeri Kampung Naga), Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency learned about healthy eating patterns, which they can integrate into their daily lives. They were also presented with an assortment of items, including mung bean porridge, boiled eggs, and milk, to meet their dietary needs.
Food aids are a way TSE Group demonstrates its awareness of social issues and makes long-term investments — in this case, building healthier children and competitive talents, said TSE Group’s Public Relations General Manager Daniel Sim Ayomi.
“If their lunch is nutritious, they will be able to focus on learning. Their health improves, and they can make [bigger] achievements. So we’re here to facilitate that and educate the kids on the importance of having a proper diet,” Ayomi added.

Boven Digoel’s First Lady Veronika Yaluwo, who also leads the mobilizer team, was present at the event. She praised TSE Group for its support for local stunting prevention efforts.
“I really appreciate the support given by TSE Group. [As you all know,] children are our next generation, [and] I believe with proper nutrition they will grow optimally,” Yaluwo said.
This public-private collaboration is expected to continue the ongoing work to reduce stunting rates, while reaching more children and building public awareness of early childhood nutrition. (PR)
