SOUTH PAPUA – As part of its Corporate Social Contribution programs, Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group subsidiary Berkat Cipta Abadi demonstrated support for YPK Harapan Selil Elementary’s arts and culture competition, held Wednesday (8/13) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Indonesian Independence.

The event featured lively performances of both traditional and contemporary dances, vividly capturing the cheerful spirit and beauty of Indonesian culture.

It also included a fashion show, where students confidently walked the runway and showcased traditional attire from various regions, such as East Nusa Tenggara and Papua, as well as ethnic groups like the Bataknese and Javanese.

TSE Group executive Park Jibae, who attended, said the company’s support is part of its commitment to cultural preservation and character education.

“We believe the best investment for the future is in our children,” he stressed. “Through events like this, we are not only nurturing their talents but also actively preserving the local heritage that forms our nation’s identity. We deeply appreciate the spirit and creativity shown by the students in YPK Harapan Selil Elementary.”

Park Jibae added that the arts festival is more than just a performance; it serves as a vital platform for the next generation to channel their creativity while upholding cultural values. He described it as an educational tool for instilling a sense of pride in their country and nation.

As a token of appreciation for the participants’ effort and talent, PT Berkat Cipta Abadi awarded prizes to the winners across several categories, including Best Fashion Show Performance, Best Dance Coordination, and Most Engaging Performer.

Ence Keterina Kesehai, the Principal of YPK Harapan Selil Elementary School, expressed her profound gratitude for the support provided by PT BCA.

“An event of this scale would not have been this vibrant without the support from companies like PT Berkat Cipta Abadi,” said Ence. “This support means the world to us, not just materially but also morally. It shows that the business world cares about education and cultural preservation. The children were incredibly motivated and felt that their hard work was truly valued.”

PT Berkat Cipta Abadi’s initiative is hoped to inspire other corporations to actively participate in safeguarding cultural heritage and supporting educational programs that build national character from the ground up. (PR)
