MERAUKE – PT Berkat Cipta Abadi (PT BCA), a business unit of Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group, donated 50 sets of desks and chairs to two elementary schools in Ulilin District, Merauke Regency, South Papua, on Thursday (4/23/2026).

The donation was distributed to YPK Harapan Selil and Kigorun Elementary Schools, with each receiving 25 desk and chair sets. Company representatives symbolically handed over the items to school officials located around the operational area.

This program is part of PT BCA’s Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) initiative in the education sector, aimed at improving the comfort and quality of the teaching and learning process for students.

PT BCA representative Dian C. Silitubun noted that providing proper learning facilities plays a key role in keeping students motivated.

“With these proper desks and chairs, we hope the students can learn more comfortably, which will ultimately help improve their focus and enthusiasm in class,” she said.

The students’ enthusiasm was clearly visible as they tried out their new desks and chairs in the classroom. In addition to improving comfort, these facilities are expected to support the overall effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.

PT BCA emphasized its commitment to strengthening synergy with local communities through various social programs, particularly in education. This serves as part of its ongoing efforts to drive human resource development and regional growth around its operational areas. (PR)
