
Photo: An enthusiastic atmosphere was evident as students participated in the 2026 National Education Day Quiz Competition for Junior High Schools, organized by TSE Group at the TSE CORPU Hall, Asiki, Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency, South Papua. This event serves as a platform for students to hone their knowledge, build self-confidence, and cultivate a spirit of achievement from an early age.
BOVEN DIGOEL – TSE Group organized a Junior High School (SMP) level Quiz Competition at the TSE Corporate University (CORPU) Hall on Monday (May 11, 2026). The event was held to commemorate the 2026 National Education Day while simultaneously supporting the enhancement of educational quality in Papua, particularly within the Boven Digoel region.
The competition, which carried the theme “Together with TSE Group, the Smart Generation of Golden Indonesia,” was attended by numerous students from various junior high schools. The participants were assessed through a diverse range of questions, spanning from mathematics to general knowledge, while maintaining a high standard of sportsmanship throughout the proceedings.
Daniel Sim Ayomi, General Manager of TSE Group, stated that the quiz competition serves not only as an academic contest but also as a medium for character building among the younger generation. According to him, engaging in healthy competition assists students in developing critical thinking skills, teamwork, and self-confidence.
“The quiz competition acts as a long-term investment in cultivating critical thinking, precision, teamwork, and a robust mentality for the nation’s future successors,” remarked Daniel Sim Ayomi during his opening address at the event.
He further elaborated that education plays a pivotal role in preparing the youth to navigate future challenges. Consequently, TSE Group continuously strives to implement various educational initiatives that yield positive benefits for students residing in the vicinity of the company’s operational areas.
Throughout the competition, an enthusiastic and spirited atmosphere was palpable. The students demonstrated intense focus in answering each question posed by the jury, concurrently showcasing their teamwork capabilities and the courage to perform in a public setting.
Martinus Rangga, S.Pd., Gr., an accompanying teacher from SMPN Jair, expressed his appreciation for the execution of the event. In his view, the quiz competition successfully cultivated an enjoyable learning environment while simultaneously elevating the students’ motivation to continuously learn and develop.

Through this initiative, they are not only encouraged to sharpen their knowledge but also to build a passion for learning, self-confidence, and a positive competitive edge from an early age.
“Programs such as this are highly positive and inspiring for the students. In addition to establishing a pleasant learning atmosphere, this activity effectively boosts their self-confidence and their drive to continue learning and developing,” stated Martinus Rangga.
One of the participants from SMPN Jair, Patrisia Tanggarofa, admitted to experiencing brief nervousness during the competition. However, the experience proved to be a highly valuable moment that enhanced her confidence and motivation to continuously improve her personal capabilities.
“This activity has been an exceptionally valuable experience for me. I have become braver, more confident, and highly motivated to keep learning,” expressed Patrisia.
Following a rigorous and highly competitive process, MTs Nurush Sobah successfully secured First Place in the competition. Second Place was awarded to SMPN Jair, while Third Place was attained by SMPN Mam.
Through this initiative, TSE Group hopes that students across Papua will continue to harbor a positive competitive spirit. Furthermore, this activity is anticipated to encourage students to realize their full potential and adequately prepare themselves to be an integral part of the Golden Indonesia generation in the foreseeable future.
