BOVEN DIGOEL, March 28, 2022 – A total of Rp195,750,000 was donated by Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE Group) to help improve the quality of children’s education around the company’s area located in Boven Digoel, Papua. It is hoped that these children will excel and become the driving force of the development in the area.
The scholarship fund was given to 350 children, starting from elementary school to college. For TSE Group, this educational assistance has become a routine program that is prioritized to meet the educational needs of children in remote areas. With this assistance, as many as 1,783 students have cumulatively received assistance from TSE Group.
“We hope that this scholarship assistance can provide motivation, and the children can be more passionate in studying, so in the future, they can become high-achieving people who can navigate the world and become the pride of Indonesia,” said the General Manager of Public Relations of TSE Group, Park Jibae, in his speech at the assistance handover ceremony at PT TSE office, Thursday (24/3). The event was attended by the scholarship recipient children with their parents and guardians.
What has been carried out by TSE Group is part of the Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program as a realization of the company’s concern for Papuan children who are still struggling to get access to education.
TSE and other TSE Group’s business units have long been committed to improving public education in remote areas of Papua through a variety of Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) programs. In addition to providing scholarships, TSE also often provides supporting facilities for studying, such as stationery, and distributes honorarium for teachers in Papua.
