BOVEN DIGOEL – PT Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE), a part of TSE Group, handed over five cattles to eight clans in Miri Village, Boven Digoel Regency, Papua, on Tuesday (14/12). This assistance is a part of TSE’s effort in encouraging Miri Village community to be empowered through independent cattle livestock.
The handover of five cattle was carried out in person by the Manager of Public Relations of Asiki Sutisna in Miri Village. The donation was given to Amote Clan Chief, Esebius Amote, who acted as a representative of eight clans.
In his speech, Sutisna conveyed the company’s purpose in providing cattle donation. “One of PT TSE’s concerns for the community in remote areas in Papua is realized by helping the economy of Miri Village. The distribution of five cattle was carried out for the purpose of breeding, so they can be a source of income for the community in Miri Village,” he explained.
TSE’s donation was well-welcomed by the residents of Miri Village. Esebius expressed his gratitude to the company for providing cattle livestock donation.
“On behalf of these eight clans in Miri Village, I thank TSE for providing five cattle for breeding, so they can be a source of livelihood for us in the future,” he said.
Distribution of productive donation has been routinely carried out by TSE Group since its operation in Papua in 1998. These donations include the provision of vegetable seeds to fish farming equipment. This donation is intended to create an economically-independent community as well as to improve the welfare of residents in remote areas of Papua.
On the other hand, through other business units, TSE Group also pays attention in the fields of education, health, infrastructure, and environment. This social contribution was branded by TSE Group as Corporate Social Contribution (CSC). (PPA Humas S&C)
