BOVEN DIGOEL – Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE Group) via PT TSE once again provided scholarship assistance to the children of clan chiefs. The Rp 60 million worth of assistance was symbolically handed over at the TSE office in Boven Digoel, Papua, Saturday (11/12).
The educational aid was intended for 46 students from elementary school (SD) to university level. The scholarship was expected to increase the students’ learning motivation. Especially during the pandemic, which forced them to study at home.
The Director of TSE Bae Suntek conveyed a message of encouragement to the children who received the scholarship to be more passionate in studying in order to reach success for their own sake and their hometown’s.
“The children of Papua must have willpower to study and be passionate in studying. Despite living in rural areas, you must not abandon school so that in the future you can get a good job and become the pride of your parents,” said Bae.
People was very enthusiastic with the scholarship provided. One of the scholarship recipients, Yosep Gembenop, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the educational assistance provided by TSE. “I am grateful to the company for helping us by providing scholarship, which certainly is beneficial to us and gave us further motivation to obtain education,” he said.
TSE and other business units of TSE Group have long been committed to improving public education in remote areas of Papua through a variety of Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) programs. In addition to providing scholarships, TSE also often provides supporting facilities for studying, such as stationery, and distributed honorarium for teachers in Papua. (PPA Humas S&C Asiki)
