HCV/HCS Assessment

TSE Group conducted the identification and assessment of HCV and HCS with BIOREF of the Faculty of Forestry – IPB University in all of our oil palm plantation areas in 2016, however, it did not conform with the needs of our stakeholders.

In September 2020, we worked in collaboration with Ata Marie to conduct an HCV and HCS reassessment and identification. The field assessment began in November 2020 in Halmahera, North Maluku, and proceeded to Asiki, Papua, in June – August 2021. We are committed that the HCV Assessments and HCS Approaches are conducted by Assessor Licensing Scheme (ALS-HCVRN) Scheme (ALS).

As of June 26, 2024, the HCV & HCS assessment results for PT Papua Agro Lestari (PAL) have been declared “satisfactory”. On September 26, 2024, the HCV & HCS assessment report on behalf of PT Dongin Prabhawa (DP) successfully achieved “satisfactory” status. As of October 21, 2024, the HCV & HCS assessment results for PT Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) POP-E have been declared “satisfactory”. As of February 17, 2025, the multi-report HCV & HCS assessment for for PT Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) POP-A and PT Berkat Cipta Abadi (BCA) POP-C and POP-D successfully achieved “satisfactory” status. This multi-report marks the final stage of TSE Group’s HCV-HCS assessment process. With this achievement, all TSE Group plantations have now attained a satisfactory status in the HCV-HCS assessment, further strengthening the company’s commitment to responsible and sustainable operations.
