South Papua’s Interim Governor: “Asiki Clinic’s Facilities Are Comprehensive, Almost Rival That of Hospitals”

BOVEN DIGOEL – Apolo Safanpo, interim governor for South Papua Province, extended his appreciation to Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group’s clinic in Asiki Subvillage, Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency (South Papua) during his visit last mid-June.

At this event, TSE Group’s clinic manager dr. Firman Jayawijaya and TSE Group management representatives accompanied Safanpo and his officials as they monitored the clinic’s Paripurna-accredited facilities. (Clinics or health centers with Paripurna rating fully comply with BPJS Kesehatan standards.) “The facilities here are quite comprehensive, they almost rival that of hospitals,” Safanpo said.

The guests were invited to tour the emergency room, outpatient ward, and pharmacy. They were also given the chance to inspect Asiki Clinic’s health service system, which TSE Group employees, their families, and even local residents make use of.

For reference, the company-managed Asiki Clinic is the only modern clinic in Jair District. Its presence has benefited those living near the company and in remote subvillages within and surrounding the district by enabling free access to health services.

Aside from that, the governor praised TSE Group’s Corporate Social Contribution programs, which focus on building the social environment of nearby Papuan communities. “Of course, it is in our common interest that we invest in natural resources management to develop this region.”
